We are closely associated with independent consultants, who operate the latest drone, 3-D mapping and videographic technology. They deliver the images through a private portal in real time, if required, via online media platforms. This technology was successfully trialled in BVI after Hurricane Irma in 2017.
We are an independent consultancy practice, operating under a non-exclusive agreement with Sedgwick International Ltd, London. We are free to take on work for others, such as insurers, policyholders, law firms and the like to provide assistance in quantifying losses.
Trevor Cameron has over 40 years of experience in the handling of claims of almost every kind under property and liability policies through working and living in the UK and overseas on all continents. Cameron Claims & Surveys will endure through the family involvement and our connections with Depiqd Ltd, Echo Alfa Ltd, and various independent adjusting associations.
'It is our fervent belief that the best opportunity to gather evidence on any insurance loss is as soon as possible after the event. In property, catastrophe and construction losses, the traditional methods of taking notes and still photographs are now insufficient. In this technological era, prompt deployment of drone pilots to site to gather incontrovertible, contemporary data in a medium that will endure throughout the life of the claim, and beyond to compare with future claims, is more critical than ever. So, as well as using conventional methods, say for smaller losses, we would always recommend the use of drones and internal 360-degree videographic data-gathering for the larger and more complex losses that will facilitate the claim settlement process or even until the case comes to trial, if need be when the evidence will be as fresh and irrefutable even years later.

Our People
Trevor has been in loss adjusting for many years. After basic training and gaining CILA status , most of his experience has been gained as a home-foreign adjuster, travelling from a London base. He had various regional postings in Malaysia as Country Manager, and in S. Africa, Argentina, the Caribbean, Miami and New Zealand.
He has dealt with most classes of property and liability business throughout the world, but with a particular focus on Construction and Builder's Risks claims in India Iran and USA, as well as major Metro Projects, such as Cityringen, Denmark, Crossrail, London and the Red Line, Tel Aviv. He has extensive handling and management experience of hurricane catastrophes in locations such as the Bahamas, St Kitts, USVI, BVI and Puerto Rico, as well as 4 major earthquakes in Christchurch, NZ, in 2010-11 in Queensland 2022.
He has handled insurance claims under Contingency policies, including Robbery & Terrorism, Medical Malpractice claims for four US-accredited hospitals in Malaysia, Jewellers Block and Bankers Blanket Bond, Entertainment Non-Appearance Cover.
Alasdair has almost 14 years of adjusting experience, gained at two international adjusting companies, working closely with Trevor. His experience in the insurance industry has been substantially focussed on property and construction liability claims, in Kiryat Gat Israel, and on major infrastructure projects, such as Crossrail and Cityringen Metro, Copenhagen, inter alia.
He has also handled a large volume of domestic and commercial claims following Named Storms in the Caribbean and Oman and the Bahamas. He now has a large book of construction busines on railway plant and equipment projects in Tanzania and Ethiopia and a Builders Risk account in the USA, which sustained two major fires of around US$80M.
The COVID19 lockdown provided him with a speight of claim notifications in respect of losses alleged to have arisen from Covid 19 site contamination. He was instructed by Lead Reinsurers on a substantial fire that substantially destroyed 35 floors of luxury apartments within a 43-storey, tower project in Israel.
Also a Co-Founder and Director of Cameron Claims, Kelsey has been intrinsically involved in the development of our electronic Database Management Software, which trades separately as Philofacts Ltd, offering online and off-line systems to claims handlers who want more than a spreadsheet at a cost to suit their budgets. See: www.philofacts.co.uk.
Alex, also a co-founder of the Company, provides professional photographic and 3-dimensional drone services respectively via his consultancies Depiqd Ltd and Echoalfa Ltd. They both have a working knowledge of the Loss adjusting industry and Alex has provided damage survey services in the Caribbean, Israel and UK for international loss adjusters and forensic scientists.
Both are CAA-qualified drone pilots. They use large DJI drones and state-of-the-art software to optimise the quality of the hi-resolution video-capture and provide blow-up stills, as well as very accurate dimensions and measurements and 3-D mapping. If a picture paints a thousand words, video images tell the whole story and could be the difference between an amicable settlement and a bitter and expensive legal dispute.
With unequivocal, 360-degree video footage of the site conditions, dimensions and construction, as well as footage of the specific damage, gathered as soon as possible after the event, disputes can be minimised.
Traditionally, Catastrophe adjusters work on short-stint, secondments from their home offices with regular changes of adjuster every 6-weeks, or so; this can be unhelpful as adjusters gather data in many different ways and poor note-keeping and inadeqaute photographic data inevitably cause confusion, which can lead to poor decision making and give rise to bad faith suits in US territories. Besides, hurricanes are annual events and repeat damage has been known to affect the same islands and properties; such evidence-capture is invaluable for comparative purposes.
Our Background
In 2016, CCS was approached by Cunningham Lindsey International Ltd (CLI) to join them under a non-exclusive agreement to act as claims consultants and help develop Home Foreign business out of the London Insurance Market.
CLI was then acquired in 2019 by US giant, Sedgwick, but CCS continued to flourish, handling major losses in India, Iran, the Caribbean and Australia..
Previously, Trevor Cameron helped Advanta Global Ltd, Loss adjusters, win various major civil infrastructure projects, such as Cityringen Metro in Copenhagen, as well as a share of the prestigious Crossrail Project in London and the Red Line Metro Project in Tel Aviv, Israel. Having lost the Tel Aviv Project through our move to work with CLI, we were recently able to recover it for Sedgwick and we are now actively involved in handling and managing claims in conjunction with our new associates there and London Reinsurers.
Hurricanes Maria and Irma in the Caribbean in 2017 gave rise to months of intense work under some of the the worst conditions in living memory, occasioned by these two intense Category 5 storms, which occurred within two weeks of each other. During this period, we were able to deploy Alex and Adam Howard-Dobson, of EchoAlfa Ltd to carry out drone surveys of major and complex properties that were extremely difficult to access from the seaward elevations, in particular, or from the ground in quite mountainous topography.
We intend to develop our business using the latest technology, such as large Mavic drones, mounted with HD Red video-cameras that can gather and feed live data through a custom-built portal via YouTube and other such video channels for direct viewing and online exchanges with the client.
We perform 360-degree internal photographic surveys, which allow us to examine the entire interior of the structure and its contents etc whereas photographs are not always all-inclusive.
360-degree Surveys, High Res Video Capture & 3-D Mapping
As stated earlier, the best opportunity to gather evidence on any loss is immediately after the event, or as soon as possible thereafter. The traditional methodology of data-gathering by means of note-taking and photographic stills to support the analysis of cause, quantum and subrogation enquiries has not been so assiduously observed in recent times. Often, due to delayed or late notification by the Policyholder, assignments can be well after the site has been cleared and vital evidence removed. Technological advances in 3-dimensional, videographic data-gathering have become an essential aspect of our work and we have the skills available in-house to ensure we deliver an unequivocal and permanent record of the loss site, which the passage of time and site development will not erase. Our non-exclusive agreement with Sedgwick gives us the freedom to take assignments either through Sedgwick, or to act independently, provided there are no conflicts of interest.
We will handle claims on a standard or desk-top basis, or simply provide claims advice as consultants on Policy coverage issues where requested by Insurers. We can provide report-proofing and editing services to overseas customers, whose reports in English might inadvertently betray their meaning and which can be corrected before being presented into the London Market.
We have experience in catastrophe claims all over the world.
